Storage box hand-carved in burl veneer.
A beautifully crafted box able to store large chess pieces (maximum king height of 11 cm), fitted with two individual black felted compartments.
The lid is held by chromed quadrant hinges that have been perfectly recessed into the wood. The hinges are not just decorative; they also prevent the lid from folding back too far, allowing it to stay safely open.
The box also features a contemporary chrome clasp that keeps it firmly closed.
This box is suitable for wooden chess pieces with a king height of 11 cm.
A beautiful chess set rests on a simple balance: pieces well proportioned
to the size of the squares. To choose a harmonious board, the most reliable guide
is the diameter of the king's base.
Key guideline: ideally, the king's base takes up about 75% of the square.

A board that is too small can hamper moves and make the set look cluttered.
À l’inverse, a board that is too large can break the harmony of the whole.
The right size brings both playing comfort and elegance.
