Four ranges make up this section. The USB e-Board, in wood, connects via USB-C to a computer or to the DGT Pi. The Bluetooth e-Board also works wirelessly, on battery power. The Smart Board, 52 × 52 cm for 2 kg, is the most affordable option. The tournament e-Board can be linked in a chain to other boards and requires a connection kit. The wooden e-Boards measure 54 × 54 cm, with 5.5 cm squares, in walnut, rosewood (palisander) or wenge. What is the difference between the USB e-Board, Bluetooth e-Board and Smart Board?
The USB e-Board is a wooden board connected to the computer by a USB-C cable. The Bluetooth e-Board adds a battery and a wireless connection. The Smart Board, lighter and more affordable, measures 52 × 52 cm and also connects via USB-C.
Do you need special pieces?
Yes: a set of DGT electronic pieces, sold separately. All DGT electronic sets work with the e-Boards and the Smart Board, whether in wood or plastic, weighted or not.
Will a tournament board work at home?
Yes, provided you add the connection kit for the first board, without which it will not work. For home use, the USB e-Board connects directly to the computer.
