The Smart Board USB cable set connects a single board to a computer and comes with Fritz software. The cables and housing sold individually are spare parts for these kits. The DGT Pi, meanwhile, turns an e-Board or a Smart Board into a standalone opponent: a DGT 3000 clock is built in. The boards themselves are in DGT electronic chess boards.
