The Chess Box brings together a 34.5 cm folding board and weighted plastic pieces with a 7 cm king; the Starter Box, larger, has a 44 cm board and an 8.6 cm king. Each is available with the DGT 1002 chess clock. The tournament set pairs the DGT walnut chessboard, 54 × 54 cm with 5.5 cm squares, with the wooden Timeless pieces featuring a 9.5 cm king, with or without the DGT 2010 clock: bought as a set, it costs 10% less than the items bought separately. The Club Pack equips ten tables in one go. The board and pieces sold separately are in DGT chessboards and pieces; for a set that tracks the game, see the complete electronic chessboards.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the Chess Box and the Starter Box?

The size. The Chess Box has a 34.5 cm folding board and a 7 cm king; the Starter Box has a 44 cm board and an 8.6 cm king. Both are available with or without the DGT 1002 chess clock.

Are these sets electronic?

No. These are classic sets: they don't record the game and don't connect to any computer. DGT's electronic chess boards have their own category.

What does the Club Pack contain?

Ten cardboard chessboards measuring 48.2 cm and ten sets of 32 plastic pieces with a 9.5 cm king, enough for twenty people to play at once.
