A beautiful miniature version of the legendary Isle of Lewis chess set.
The chess board lid lifts to reveal individual felt-lined storage for each piece, built into the board itself, keeping your set safe or making it easy to carry along with you.
Discovered on the Isle of Lewis in 1831 after a sandbank collapsed and revealed a chest containing the chess pieces.
It is the most famous chess set in the world, with the original kept at the National Museum of Scotland; it is thought to date back to the 12th century and was probably made in Norway.
Each piece is crafted as a highly accurate representation of the originals, which can be admired by the public at the National Museum of Scotland.
