Lanzichenecchi II Set – Black Chess Board with Storage and Metal Chess Set

The figures represent Landsknechts, mercenaries renowned in the early sixteenth century for their effectiveness and ferocity.

The chess pieces are made of metal, entirely hand-carved and hand-polished; they are well weighted and protected at their base by a protective felt.

The chess board that accompanies these pieces is large, measuring 48 x 48 cm, in black and gold faux leather. Beneath the playing surface, it includes individual felt-lined storage for each piece, very practical for storing your chess pieces and making it easier to move the board from one place to another.

A beautifully crafted historical chess set: the black colour of the board enhances the beauty of the metal chess pieces. Made by a craftsman with expertise in creating chess sets for the home, only quality materials have been selected, so you can be assured of a set that will last you for decades to come.

If you choose to give this set as a gift, you can select the “engraved plaque” option and have it engraved with whatever you wish to make your present unique.
