“Large Staunton II” Set – Wooden Pedestal Chess Board with Tuscan Alabaster and Brass Staunton Chess Pieces

A magnificent chess set featuring a wooden pedestal chess board with a Tuscan alabaster playing surface.

The tones of the alabaster and wood blend perfectly together, enhancing the beauty of this handcrafted chess board.

We have paired this chess board with brass Staunton-style chess pieces, with a slightly more modern design that suits the chess board beautifully and can be stored easily in the drawer built into the playing surface.

Brass is an extremely durable and attractive metal, and these figures boast a wealth of fine detail.

A complete chess set (pieces + board) crafted by our Italian artisan who specialises in making chess sets, and one that will make a fine investment, bringing you wonderful games for generations to come.
