Olive Wood Backgammon Set with Side Supports

Olive wood is a very hard, strong and durable wood. The heartwood is cream or yellowish-brown in colour, with darker brown wavy grain.

The playing board is a combination of olive wood with wengé and mahogany points. The board includes side supports for the checkers.

This backgammon set is handmade using the art of marquetry, an artistic technique that involves applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.

Our craftsmen, experienced in making this type of game, use this method to create the interior design of the backgammon board.

The set includes: 30 olive wood checkers (15 brown and 15 light brown), 1 doubling cube (18 mm), 4 dice (14 mm), 2 dice shakers and a velvet pouch.
