This chess board features wide borders, with the board slightly raised on carved, single-piece feet. The finish is matt.

Choosing the right board size
A beautiful chess set rests on a simple balance: pieces well proportioned to the size of the squares. To choose a harmonious board, the most reliable guide is the diameter of the king's base.
Key guideline: ideally, the king's base takes up about 75% of the square.
