The chess pieces are inspired by the legend of Prince Siegfried, keeper of the Nibelungen treasure, who helps King Gunther win Brunhild’s hand. They are crafted in bronze with a 24-carat gold finish.
The chess board is sculpted from bronze with an onyx top, its finishes also rendered in 24-carat gold. You’ll notice the pieces on the board have been sculpted in the shape of small dragons.
The finishes of this set are impressive, both in the quality of the materials used and in the detail of the sculpted pieces created by the craftsman.
